Composing a Cinquain Poem

In our spring poetry unit, students study and compose several types of poetry.  One type of poetry is the Cinquain poem.  This template guides students in an easy step by step manner to compose this type of poetry.  Once students have followed the template a few times, they will be able to compose a Cinquain poem independently. 

Students are to be reading this summer.  For a list of second grade appropriate books, please use the FPD website.
